The American Comedy Co. is a locally owned and operated A-List comedy club and restaurant featuring the best nationally touring stand-up comedians in the business. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter in beautiful downtown San Diego, we provide the highest quality entertainment in an intimate, venue with an old-city, speak-easy feel.   • We are a 21+ venue
  • We enforce a dress code, so please dress in respectable attire. Absolutely no ball caps, athletic wear, or excessively baggy clothing will be admitted. The decision of the Door Staff is final. The American Comedy Co. reserves the right to deny entry for any reason. These terms and conditions will be enforced for the safety and courtesy of other patrons and staff.
  • Box Office Hours are Noon-8:30pm Tues-Sat, Sun 5pm-8:30pm
  • Tickets are available at will-call and can be claimed when doors open for that show with the purchaser's valid photo ID.
  • There are no physical tickets to pick-up.
  • The Service Fee applies to all tickets purchased either online or through the box office.
  • Tickets purchased at the door are subject to an additional $4 charge.
  • All prices, performers & showtimes are subject to change
  • Shows typically run 90 minutes.
  • Tickets not claimed by start of show may be released with no refund
  • Must have valid/current government issued ID (Driver's License, Passport, Etc.) to enter, no exceptions
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & Debit Cards. Personal Checks not accepted.
  • There is a 2 item minimum per person. Last drinks must be ordered by last call.
  • We have a full bar and dinner menu.
  • Seating is general admission. Large parties are not guaranteed to sit together. Please show up early and together for best results  
  • Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable. No Late Entry. All sales final
  • Pictures & videos are only permitted before and after the show. No cameras, video recorders, and/or cell phones out during the show. Any violation of this or any rule results in immediate expulsion from the venue, no exceptions
  • We are wheelchair accesible.
  • Doors open Tue-Thu and Sun at 7pm, Fri-Sat at 6:30pm for the 7:30pm show and 9pm for the 9:30pm show. Show times subject to change.

  • Comedy is subjective and it's highly recommended to review clips and bios of the comedians prior to purchasing tickets

Everyone must be 21 or older with valid ID. A valid ID, according to California Liquor Code is defined as a current state-issued driver's license or ID, a military ID, or a passport. No other forms of identification will be accepted.

There is a two item minimum per person. All shows are 21+. Valid photo ID required for entrance. Attire is casual. All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Seating is first come, first served, unless otherwise noted. Please keep all table conversation to a whisper. Out of respect to the comedians and fellow patrons, heckling and/or loud talking is strongly discouraged.
